April 26th 2010 in the Embassy of Ukraine in Sweden the meeting of charitable organizations which provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine has been held on the occasion of 24th anniversary of Chernobyl accident.
Ambassador of Ukraine Yevgen Perebyinis has summed up the results of common efforts of the Embassy and these organizations over the last year and expressed gratitude for their contribution. The participants shared opinions on how to improve the procedures of transportation humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Moreover, Ambassador has informed on the implementation of the Ukrainian governmental programme aimed a shutting down the Chernobyl power plant and transformation of the Shelter Object into the ecologically safe system. Health improvement for children who have suffered from Chernobyl accident has been discussed. In this regard Ambassador has informed that in the Swedish summer camp of Gronby up to 20 children annually improve their health.
Ambassador has also drawn attention to the issues of commemoration 25th anniversary of Chernobyl accident next year. He informed on holding the high-level international conference «Twenty five years since Chernobyl catastrophe. Safety for the future» in Ukraine.
