April 29th this year Ambassador of Ukraine in Sweden Yevgen Perebyinis met Amelie von Zweigbergk, State Secretary to Minister for EU-Affairs.

A.von Zweigbergk stressed that Sweden remains a consistent supporter of European integration of Ukraine, so called "advocate" of Ukraine in the EU. In this regard, she reiterated that EU and Sweden highly assessed the democratic character of Ukrainian presidential elections. Sweden welcomes the intention of Ukrainian top officials to persist on the way of Ukraine towards the EU. She expressed hope that the Association Agreement and visa-free roadmap will be entering into force already till the end of this year.

During the meeting the issues of the internal development of the EU after Lisbon Treaty, especially the formation of the EU external service were discussed.
