11-14 October 2011 the delegation of Ministry of Regional Development, Сonstruction, Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine, Ukrainian local authorities and municipal services companies headed by the First Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Сonstruction, Housing and Municipal Economy visited Sweden. The aim of the visit was to study Swedish experience and the best Swedish practices in the heat supply systems. During the stay the delegation had a number of meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Ministry for Enterprise, Energy and Communications, Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO), Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), Nordic Investment Bank as well as Södertörns Fjärrvärme, SVEBIO, RINDI, AlfaLaval, Fortum companies.

The delegation informed the Swedish side on the current conditions of the municipal economy in Ukraine, ways of the sector restructuring, process of the development of regulatory and institutional support as well as premises for investment projects implementation in the framework of Demo Ukraine program.

The Sides agreed to continue cooperation in the framework of Demo Ukraine program. An agreement with Nordic Investment Bank has also been achieved for contracting loans of 100 million euro for the development of Ukrainian municipal infrastructure.
