On 4 November 2018, within the scope of the initiative by Ukrainian Women’s Organization in Sweden “Ukrainians of Sweden: Great, Known and Unknown”, a commemoration of the memory of Ukrainians, laid to rest in the city cemetery, was held.

     H.E.Ambassador of Ukraine Mr.Ihor Sagach, Chairwoman of the Ukrainian Women’s Organization in Sweden Ms.Zoryana Kiktsö and representatives of the Ukrainian community paid tribute to Ukrainians – Osyp Maydanyuk (painter, secretary of the Ukrainian People’s Republic diplomatic mission in Stockholm (1918-1920), Bohdan Kentrzhynskyi (historian, founder of Ukrinformbureau in Stockholm, researcher of the history of Ukrainian-Swedish relations of the Cossack times, author of the historical research study “Mazepa”, Scandinavian representative of the Executive body of the Ukrainian People’s republic), Nadia Schusledder (Deputy Chairwoman of the Ukrainian Community in Sweden), other Ukrainians, laid to rest in the city cemetery.
