On 27 November 2016, the Ukrainian Women Organization in Sweden organized a commemoration service in Stockholm (Lidingö, church Ansgarskyrkan).  It honoured the light memory of the victims of the genocide of the Ukrainian people - the Holodomor of 1932 - 1933 in Ukraine committed by totalitarian repressive Stalinist regime, and famines 1921 - 1922, 1946 - 1947 in Ukraine.

The service was conducted by Archpriest Mateus Maria Furemalm and Archpriest Mykola Kapitula from St.Pokrova Cathedral in Rivne.

The members of the Ukrainian community in Sweden and representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Sweden honoured the Holodomor victims with the minute of silence, signed the “Book of Memory” for the descendants who will commemorate 100 years of Holodomor in Ukraine.
