The Ambassador of Ukraine to Sweden, Svitlana Zalishchuk, joined Prince Daniel and participants of Prince Daniel's Fellowship for a visit to
apotea.se, where they took part in packing 150 emergency backpacks containing advanced medical equipment for Ukrainian military medics.
During the packing, they met and heard the story of Ukrainian military veteran Vladyslav Tarakhtii. Vladyslav left his Master’s degree unfinished when he volunteered to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He served for 4.5 years as a military medic, using the very same type of emergency backpack that we were packing at Apotea.
Today, he knows from personal experience what these backpacks mean on the battlefield – and how having the right medical equipment at the right moment can save a life.
Apotea’s support has already made a significant difference. With the help of its customers and partners, the company has sent 1,500 emergency backpacks and 21 trucks of medical supplies to Ukraine. Each backpack is valued at approximately SEK 20,000 and provides vital equipment to help save lives on the frontline.
The Ambassador expressed her gratitude to Prince Daniel, Apotea, Pär Svärdson, Vladyslav, and everyone contributing to this important initiative.
This is what solidarity looks like: people coming together, putting their skills and resources to work, and helping save lives in Ukraine.
