On the occasion of 21st anniversary of Independence of Ukraine the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Sweden held the reception on August 31, 2012 in the Hotel Scandic Sergel Plaza. Deputies of the Swedish Riksdag, representatives of the Government, ambassadors of the foreign states in Stockholm as well as numerous representatives of political, businesses, cultural, educational institutions and mass media of Sweden attended the event.

In the framework of the reception the Ambassador of Ukraine Dr Valerii Stepanov on behalf of the President of Ukraine and according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine from August 24, 2012 № 502/2012 “Decorating of foreign citizens by the Ukrainian orders” presented the “Order of Merit” III degree to a Swedish social activist Natasha Andersson.
