On 31 March, on the Evert Taubes Terrassen Square in Stockholm, an international rally “United by the Flag #LiberateCrimea” took place in Stockholm. The rally was aimed to draw international attention to the situation in the Russia’s occupied Crimean peninsula.
Words of solidarity and support to Ukrainians in the Crimea, Crimean Tatar people and political prisoners, illegally detained in Russia, were signed by Ambassador of Ukraine to Sweden I.Sagach, leaders and members of the boards of the civic organizations of Ukrainians in Sweden, diplomatic staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Sweden, Ukrainian and Swedish community of Stockholm.
Crimean Tatar flag and the flag of the Ukrainian Navy have travelled to Ukrainian communities in the Great Britain, Ireland, France, Czech Republic, USA, Canada, Malaysia, Australia, Germany, Portugal, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, and Slovak Republic. Upon signing in Stockholm, it will be sent to Finland.
On 26 June, on the Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag, an official ceremony of this international initiative’s closure will be held in Kyiv.
