On April 18-21st, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children's Rights Mykola Kuleba will be visiting the Kingdom of Sweden.
In the course of his visit, meetings with Barnombudsmannen (Ombudsman of the Kingdom of Sweden for Children’s Rights) Fredrik Malmberg, SIDA Assistant Director General Elsa Håstad, Deputy Secretary General & Program Director of the World Childhood Foundation Britta Holmberg and program manager Susanne Drakborg, Barnahus Stockholm director Anders Forsberg and “Maskrosbarn” program officers Lisa Dahlgren and Sindra Liebe, will be held.
In the course of the meetings with his Swedish counterparts, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children’s Rights Mykola Kuleba will discuss best Swedish practices on social adaptation of homeless kids, children suffering from domestic violence, are witnesses of crimes and military conflicts.
Special attention will be paid to strengthening of the Ukrainian-Swedish partnership in enhancing children’s trust to social institutions of the government within the framework of “social trust” rooms in the state authorities, implementing “Barnahus” model where specially trained officers, policemen and policewomen, social workers and psychologic who work “under one roof, in one building” provide social and psychological assistance to the children in need.
