September 7, 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine in Sweden Yevgen Perebyinis took part in Stockholm Junior Water Prize Award Ceremony which is held annually under the aegis of H.H.Crown-Princess Victoria in the frames of the World Water Week.
During the event Ambassador met delegation of Ukrainian participants, included winner of the national stage of the competition Maria Mulyarchuk, and visited the Ukrainian stand.
Ambassador emphasized importance of Ukraine’s participation in such prestigious international event and promised that Embassy will continue provide assistance in organizing our participants’ visits to Stockholm.
Mariya Mulyarchuk, 10 year–of-study school student from the village of Dzvynyachka (Ternopil oblast, Ukraine) has won the national stage of competition “Ukrainian Junior Water Prize 2010” with the project “River micro power station with low-speed hydrodynamic turbine”.
For six consecutive years the national stage of competition is held by Publishing House ”EKOinform” under the aegis of Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ministry for Environmental Protection of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and this year Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sport.
