October 19th, 2010 in Stockholm the Ukrainian-Swedish business forum took place held in the frames of visit of the delegation from Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine) with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr Viktor Mayko in charge.

The Ukrainian delegation to the forum included Mr Viktor Mayko, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine; Mr Eduard Rizaiev, Deputy Head of Apparatus, Head of Secretariat of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mr Volodymyr Shchelkunov, ІСС Ukraine President as well as representatives for Ukrainian business (27 persons in total).

The Swedish Side was represented by ІСС Sweden leadership, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce members and a number of Swedish businesses (40 persons in total).

During the forum opening Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr Viktor Mayko addressed the participants. He informed them on Ukrainian-Swedish trade and economic cooperation, briefed upon current economic situation in Ukraine. Mr Viktor Mayko also informed on efforts made by Ukrainian Government in order to improve investment climate in Ukraine.

Deputy Head of Apparatus, Head of Secretariat of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr Eduard Rizaiev read the letter from Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr Mykola Azarov addressed to participants of the Ukrainian-Swedish business forum in which he expressed aspiration for dynamic development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation as well as wishes of fruitful work during the forum.

During the event Ukrainian and Swedish businesses have outlined possible spheres of cooperation and discussed concrete trade and economic projects.
