On January 23-27 the delegation of Kirovograd region headed by the Head of Kirovograd state administration S. Larin visited Sweden at the invitation of the Head of the Secretariat for International development and Cooperation in Sweden Lars Van Dassen. The visit was organized by the Swedish National Agency for radiation safety (SSM) and the State Inspection for Nuclear regulation in Ukraine in the framework of the project “Reducing the effects of radon on human body” funded by Swedish Agency for International Development.

During the visit the delegates had the possibility to meet with representatives of the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, prominent scientists etc. During the meetings it was agreed to expand cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden on the reduction of radon effects on the human body leading to decrease the spread of lung censer.
