Within the framework of official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara held negotiations with his Swedish colleague Carl Bildt.

During the meeting, which was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the main attention was paid to the issues of the European integration of Ukraine, in particular perspectives of the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU during the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the development of bilateral relations, noting their high level. Wide range of Ukrainian-Swedish cooperation issues in various fields was discussed, in particular, concerning enhancement of political dialogue between the two countries. The sides exchanged views on current international issues as well as bilateral interaction within international organizations.

Carl Bildt welcomed Ukraine’s OSCE Chairmanship and confirmed the readiness of Sweden to cooperate with Ukraine on the issues of the OSCE’s agenda.
