She previously served as Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine (2019) and as a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament (2014–2019). In Parliament, she sat on the Committee on Foreign Affairs, where she headed the Subcommittee on European and Euro-Atlantic Relations, and represented Ukraine in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (2014–2016).
Before her diplomatic appointment, Svitlana also worked as Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and as Advisor to the Minister for Strategic Industries.
Her corporate experience includes serving as Director of Stakeholder Engagement at Naftogaz, Ukraine’s largest state-owned company; Advisor to the CEO of Ukrzaliznytsia, the national railway company; and Senior Advisor at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs.
Her professional expertise spans foreign affairs, security, anti-corruption policy, and gender equality. She was an active leader during the EuroMaidan movement and co-founded several influential national civic platforms.
Svitlana began her career in 2003 as an international reporter for Ukraine’s 5th TV Channel. She holds a degree in Journalism from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
