Guide to higher education in Ukraine - information from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Ukrainian State Center for International Education
The Ukrainian State Center for International Education was established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in 2003 to promote education opportunities in Ukraine for foreign citizens.
Acting as the official representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Center actively collaborates with:
– Higher education institutions of Ukraine;
– Government authorities of Ukraine;
– Ukraine’s diplomatic missions abroad; and
– Embassies of foreign countries in Ukraine.
Ukrainian education is considered to be one of the best in the world given it’s long and rich history. Higher educational institutions in Ukraine were first established in the 17th century and attracted students from all over the world. Experienced teachers and professors, a great diversity of specialties and European standards of quality make Ukrainian education popular among students worldwide.
In 2005, Ukraine joined the Bologna Process which is a positive step towards integrating Ukrainian education into the European Higher Education Area.
Ukrainian higher educational institutions provide courses in Ukrainian, Russian or English. International students have the opportunity to study in more than 240 higher educational institutions and obtain specializations in different scientific fields. Each year, higher educational institutions welcome students from more than 150 countries.
